Name:Junior League Birmingham Community Roundtable
Date:February 8, 2023
Time:12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CST
Event Description:
The United States has the worst maternal mortality rate of all developed nations in the world, and Alabama's is the third highest in the nation. Even worse than that, our black mothers are 3 times more likely to die than our white mothers. This terrifying statistic has implications for all women and children needing healthcare in Alabama, not only vulnerable mothers. Community Roundtable is hosting a panel discussion on this vital issue on February 8, at Noon, in the JLB Auditorium. The panel will include members of the recently established Alabama Department of Health Maternal Mortality Review Board, area physicians, and women's health experts and activists. This is event is open to both members and the general public. Lunch will be provided for those attending in person at the Junior League of Birmingham Auditorium. A Zoom option will be offered as well. Please register for in-person or Zoom attendance on the Junior League of Birmingham website at https://www.jlbonline.com/community-roundtable-february-2023/
